Nietzsche on Evolution

Daybreak 108

Evolution has nothing in view but evolution. There is no universally recognised goal so it isn't possible to propose "thus and thus" is the right course of action. As such it isn't rational to impose the demands of morality on mankind. We can however recommend a goal which if accepted could impose a moral law in its pursuit. The moral law has been supposed to stand above our own likes and dislikes. We didn't want to impose this law on ourselves- we wanted to take it from somewhere or discover it somewhere or have it commanded to one from somewhere.
